The Annual Fund

What is the Annual Fund?

  • The Montrose School Annual Fund supports every facet of a Montrose education.
  • The Annual Fund helps close the gap of $3,238 per student for essential student and faculty programs not covered by tuition income
  • Its success is vital to meeting the school's annual operating expenses.
  • It supports the $1.75 million in need-based tuition assistance provided annually.
  • An Annual Fund gift can be of any amount. Participation is important and shows the support of our community.
  • Leadership gifts ($1,000+) make up 80% of the Annual Fund each year and are critical to reaching our goal.
  • The Annual Fund Goal for 2023-2024 is $450,000
  • All unrestricted gifts to the School are considered Annual Fund gifts.
  • The Annual Fund runs from July 1 to June 30 each year.

Annual Fund Parent Chairs: Colleen & Todd Cassler P '24

Colleen and Todd joined Montrose 6 years ago, as their daughter Kenzie entered 6th grade.

They have agreed to be the 2023-2024 Annual Fund Parent Council chairs after witnessing firsthand how important the Annual Fund is when the school had to face unexpected COVID-related expenses. This included physical changes to the campus, technology upgrades, personal safety equipment, as well as increased dollars for financial aid to families.

Participation in the Annual Fund plays a critical role, as foundations and other organizations examine parent and alumnae participation when considering large grants and other donations to the School.

Thank you to our 2023-2024 Annual Fund Parent Council!
