Bernice Lerner, author, The Triumph of Wounded Souls
Dr. Bernice Lerner, author of The Triumph of Wounded Souls: Seven Holocaust Survivors' Lives and Director of Adult Learning at Hebrew Academy, will present her personal experience as the daughter of two Holocaust survivors.
Dr. Lerner formerly served as Director of the Center for the Advancement of Ethics and Character at BU, where she worked with teachers, school districts, and state departments of education. She has taught graduate courses in character education for many years. In 2005, she published Great Lives, Vital Lessons: A Character Education Curriculum Resource and is presently working on a manuscript: Who Saved Rachel? H. L. Glyn Hughes, My Mother, and the Liberation of Bergen-Belsen.
