Maverick Motorcade Honors Class of 2020

The Montrose community cheers on the class of 2020 in a special day of celebration.
With Covid-19 restrictions still in place, Montrose could not host Commencement on May 29 as scheduled. Instead, the community celebrated the seniors in a "Maverick Motorcade."

Clad in Montrose swag -- including Montrose masks! -- parents, students, faculty, staff, friends and relatives drove through campus where seniors were parked in a rolling rally route. Car decorating, balloons, flags and posters were in abundance.

Earlier on May 29, Montrose hosted a virtual all-school Senior Celebration including videos from faculty and the junior class, and the traditional Montrose Senior Awards.

"From class skits and Looking Glass tributes to faculty videos, flower delivery from the Parent Guild and our special Class of 2020 Podcast, the Montrose community has stood in solidarity and gratitude for our seniors' indomitable spirit and legacy," said Head of School Karen E. Bohlin.

The celebration will conclude on August 1, when the rescheduled Commencement ceremony will take place.
