Congratulations Class of 2023!

Faculty, families, friends and the entire student body celebrate the graduates.
According to Montrose tradition, Head of School Katie Elrod spoke personally about each graduate, relating anecdotes that revealed each girl’s strengths, accomplishments and character. The graduates, dressed in white and carrying red roses, cheered one another as each classmate rose to receive her diploma.

Dr. Laura (Daher) Rabideau '03 was the Commencement speaker. Dr. Rabideau is the Associate Medical Director at Tufts Medical Center Community Care in Wellesley. She has been a primary care physician in the Tufts network since 2017 and is the winner of the New England Quality Care Alliance Primary Care Award. She is a graduate of MIT and the Robert Larner, MD College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Tufts Medical Center before becoming a primary care physician.

"Combat fear and uncertainty with two gifts you learned at Montrose: solidarity and discernment," Dr. Rabideau told the graduates.

"We are all given diverse gifts so that we need each other and can share God’s love more fully," she added. "Spend time considering why you are doing things, use the tools you have been given at this special school, the friendships you have made, the mentors you have chosen. Then you can confidently prioritize, and tune out the fuss. Remember, the thing about gifts is that they are not what you expect."

Ava Russo '23 delivered the valedictory address. "Soon, each of us will join a new school community that will challenge us to grow both as students and as citizens of the world," she told her classmates. "Montrose has equipped each of us with the necessary skills to embrace mistakes and persevere through difficulties with faith, dedication, and enthusiasm."

The 31 members of the Class of 2023 were admitted to a wide variety of excellent institutions.

Congratulations and good luck to the Class of 2023!
